Reflections double the magic

Reflections give you two images for the price of one. Water, glass, mirrors, polished floors — any reflective surface creates instant symmetry, and often a second, dreamier version of the scene.

Reflections work best when the surface is still. Water needs to be calm; glass works better at an angle. The smoother the surface, the more convincing the mirror.

Position yourself so the reflection and the real subject meet at a clean line. Half-and-half compositions are the classic, but a reflection as the dominant framing feels more modern.

A centered guide helps you split the frame cleanly between subject and reflection, so the two halves balance.

Frame it perfectly, every time.

slay overlays the exact composition guides from these principles right onto your camera.
