Close Up

Telephoto half-body portrait

Portrait

A closer, half-body portrait shot on the telephoto lens. Standing back and zooming in flattens the background and gives a flattering, magazine-style look.

How to shoot it

  1. 1Camera heightHold the camera at the subject's chest height.
  2. 23x zoomShoot with 3x zoom.
  3. 34m+ distanceStand at least 4 metres away from the subject.
  4. 4Head on top 1/3 lineAlign the head near the top third guide line.

Using it in slay

Open slay, pick Close Up from the guide picker and the overlay appears on your live viewfinder. Line your subject up with the guide using the gold crosshair, follow the height, angle and zoom above, and shoot — no cropping or editing needed. Finish the look with one of 38 built-in LUTs.
