Portrait 2

Rule of thirds portrait

Portrait

A full or seated portrait with the subject's head on the top third line. Tighter than Portrait 1, so the person fills more of the frame while the setting still reads.

How to shoot it

  1. 1Camera heightHold the camera at the subject's chest height.
  2. 22x zoomShoot with 2x zoom.
  3. 34m+ distanceStand at least 4 metres away from the subject.
  4. 4Head on top 1/3 lineAlign the head near the top third guide line.

Using it in slay

Open slay, pick Portrait 2 from the guide picker and the overlay appears on your live viewfinder. Line your subject up with the guide using the gold crosshair, follow the height, angle and zoom above, and shoot — no cropping or editing needed. Finish the look with one of 38 built-in LUTs.
